Yes. Joining Locked In is completely free, and membership stays free. Some individual items — certain premium courses, ticketed events and 1:1 mentor sessions — are paid, but you only ever pay for the specific thing you choose. There is no mandatory subscription to be a member.

It genuinely is. Being a member — access to the community, forums, free events and the bulk of what happens day to day — costs nothing and always will. We keep the lights on through optional paid items, not by locking membership behind a paywall.

No. You never enter any card details to create an account or to use the free parts of Locked In. A payment method is only requested at the moment you decide to buy something specific — a paid course, an event ticket or a mentor session.

They're priced per item. When something is paid, the price is shown up front before you commit. You check out once for that item, and access unlocks immediately — a course is added to your library, an event ticket is reserved, or a mentor booking is confirmed. No recurring charges unless an item is explicitly a subscription.

Payments run through trusted providers — Stripe, Razorpay and PayPal — depending on your region. That covers major credit and debit cards and the local methods each provider supports. You'll see the available options at checkout, and card details are handled by the provider, never stored on our servers.

Yes, within reason. If something isn't right — a course wasn't as described, an event was cancelled, or a mentor session didn't take place — contact us and we'll make it right, subject to the refund terms shown at purchase. Reach the team through the contact page and we'll help.

Browse the mentors directory, filter by the skills or field you're working on, and open a profile to see their background, focus areas and availability. When you find someone a few steps ahead of where you want to be, you can request a session directly from their profile.

If you'd like to give back, apply from your account to become a mentor. You set your focus areas, your availability and your rates (sessions can be free or paid). Once your application is approved, your profile appears in the directory and members can start booking time with you.

Pick an open slot from the mentor's availability, confirm the time, and — if the session is paid — check out securely. You'll both get the booking details and a reminder, and the session runs at the agreed time. If plans change, you can manage or cancel the booking from your account within the mentor's cancellation window.

Trainings are structured courses broken into lessons and modules, with your progress tracked as you go so you always know your next step. Work through them at your own pace; free courses are open to every member, and premium ones unlock after a one-time purchase.

Many courses award a certificate when you complete them — including passing any required quiz. Once you finish, the certificate is issued to your account automatically, ready to download or share, with your name, the course and the completion date on it.

Yes. Every certificate carries a unique verification code and a public verify link, so anyone — an employer, for example — can confirm it's genuine and see the course and date it was issued for. Certificates are verifiable, not just decorative.

Both live under your security settings at /settings/security. From there you can update your password at any time and turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for an extra layer of protection — we strongly recommend enabling it to keep your account secure.

Yes. Your notification preferences are yours to tune. In your account settings you can choose which emails and in-app alerts you receive — event reminders, forum replies, mentor messages and more — so you only hear about what matters to you.

You can delete your account from your account settings whenever you like. Rather than leaving your contributions broken, deletion anonymizes your account — your personal details are removed while posts and activity are detached from your identity, keeping shared threads intact for everyone else.

Yes. We collect only what's needed to run the community, we never sell your data, and payment details are handled by our payment providers rather than stored by us. You stay in control — adjust your privacy and notification preferences in settings, and anonymize your data at any time by deleting your account.
